For systems with a needle shut-off, herzog systems ag offers an effective solution against unwanted material leakage when the machine nozzle is lifted. The injection process starts with the movement of the plasticizing screw. The plastic melt flows through the machine nozzle into the hot runner and subsequently into the cavity. A needle shut-off in the hot runner system controls the material flow and prevents uncontrolled entry into the cavity. When the machine nozzle is lifted, the pressurized melt in the hot runner can escape. This leads to unwanted material loss and potential process disruptions. To solve this problem, herzog systems ag has developed a valve module based on the principle of a check valve. This simple yet effective component can be easily integrated into any tool and reliably prevents material leakage when the machine nozzle is lifted.
